The Cleaning Company provides regular house cleaning across Auckland, New Zealand, starting at $110 + GST per week for a weekly booking or $120 + GST per fortnight for fortnightly, both with a two-person team. Every standard visit covers bathrooms, kitchen, all floors, dusting, interior glass, bed-making and rubbish. Clients are assigned a consistent team, work is done to a scope agreed in writing, and there is no lock-in contract or joining fee. Most of our work is short-stay turnover cleaning, and domestic clients get the same teams and the same written standard.

What gets done, room by room
This is the standard list. We agree yours in writing at the first visit, and it can add to or subtract from this — plenty of clients ask us not to touch a study or a nursery.

Is a cleaner worth it in Auckland?
Put it in hours rather than dollars. A two to three bedroom home cleaned properly takes one person about three hours; our pair does it in ninety minutes. At $110 + GST weekly you are buying back roughly three hours of your own weekend for about the price of two coffees a day.
The second argument is condition. Bathrooms and kitchens degrade in a way that is expensive to reverse — limescale on a glass screen, grease behind a cooktop, mould in a wet-area seal. Auckland's humidity accelerates all of it. Regular cleaning is genuinely cheaper than the deep clean, the reseal or the replacement it prevents.
What we do not do
We are not a handyman service, a gardening service or a laundry. We do not do exterior house washing, gutters, roofs or pest control, and we will tell you so rather than doing a poor job of it. What we will do is tell you who does it properly.

How much is a weekly house clean in Auckland?
Weekly house cleaning starts at $110 + GST per week with a two-person team. Fortnightly starts at $120 + GST per fortnight. Starting prices assume a standard one to two bedroom property in our regular service area; larger homes are quoted after a walkthrough and the price is then fixed in writing.
How long does a regular house clean take?
A standard two to three bedroom Auckland home takes a two-person team roughly ninety minutes to two hours once it is on a regular schedule. The first clean usually takes longer because it is catching up on everything a regular schedule then prevents.
Weekly or fortnightly — which should I choose?
Weekly if the house has children, pets, shift workers or more than three occupants; the property never falls behind and the per-visit cost is lower. Fortnightly if it is one or two tidy adults who mostly want the bathrooms and floors handled. If you are unsure, start fortnightly and move to weekly if the second week always feels long.
Do you clean inside the oven and the windows?
Not as part of a standard clean — both take real time and would otherwise be rushed. They are quoted as extras and can be scheduled as an occasional add-on, for example an oven clean twice a year and windows once or twice a year.
Will the same cleaners come every time?
Almost always, and we would rather promise that honestly than promise something we cannot hold. Regular clients are assigned a two-person team who learn the property — which floor hates water, where the spare linen lives, which room is not to be touched.
People do take leave and people do get sick. When that happens you hear from us before the visit, not after, and the replacement works from your property's agreed scope rather than guessing. The thing that actually protects your property is that the knowledge is written down and the whole team is ours — never a subcontractor or an agency filling a gap.
Where the standard comes from
Most of what we do is not houses. It is short-stay turnovers — a property cleaned between one guest leaving and the next arriving, where anything missed is in a public review by the evening. That is a less forgiving standard than a domestic clean, and it is the one your house is cleaned to.
Three things come with it:
- The scope is written, not remembered. On a changeover nothing can depend on who happens to turn up. Your house gets the same treatment — an agreed list, in writing, from the first visit.
- The work is checked before we lock up. A turnover ends with a walk-through and a sign-off because it has to. We did not build a second, looser habit for houses.
- Everyone is employed by us. No subcontractors, no agency staff. It is the reason the same pair can learn your property and keep to it.
If you also own a property that is let out
Some of the houses we clean are not the only property their owner has — there is also a bach, an apartment, or somewhere that came down through the family. If that is you, two things are worth knowing.
We clean short-stay properties between guests at a published price: $155 + GST for one bedroom, $240 + GST for two, $305 + GST for three, with linen supply, laundering and guest consumables inside that number rather than added to it. And for owners who have reached the point of not wanting to think about it at all, we run properties end to end — pricing, listing, guests, changeovers and maintenance — for 15% + GST of accommodation revenue.
